And I love you! (la la la……)

YOU CAN COUNT ON ME (Bruno Mars)

If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea, I’ll sail the world to find you.
If you ever find yourself in the dark and you can’t see, I’ll be the light to guide you.
Find out what we’re made of, when we are called to help a friend in need.
You can count on me, like one two three, I’ll be there.
And I know when I need it I can count on you like four, three, two
YOu’ll be there, Cause that’s what friends are supposed to do, oh ya
doo doo doo doo doo…..
You can count on me, and I can count on you!

With glowing hearts we see thee rise, the true north strong and free.
From far and wide, O Canada we stand on gaurd for thee.
God keep our land, glorious and free. O Canada we stand on gaurd for thee.
O Canada we stand on gaurd for thee.

THIS GREAT LAND (Judy Lea)

(Red, Yellow, Green sing English – Blue & Purple sing French)

THERE’S A RAINBOW OF COLOURS IN OUR FACES.
OUR ANCESTORS CAME FROM MANY PLACES.
AND NOW WE ALL LIVE TOGETHER IN THIS GREAT LAND CALLED CANADA.
Chorus: CANADA (clap 3X), CANADA (clap 3X)
THIS GREAT LAND CALLED, CANADA (clap 3X)
CANADA (clap 3X), CANADA (clap 3X)
THIS GREAT LAND CALLED, CANADA (clap 3X)

C-A-N (echo- c-a-n) A-D-A (echo- a-d-a)
C-A-N (echo-c-a-n) A-D-A (echo – a-d-a)

CE SONT LES COLEURS D’UN ARC EN CIEL SUR NOS VISAGES
NOS ANCETRES SONT VENUS DE BEAUCOUP D’ENDROITS.
ET MAINTENANT NOUS HABITONS TOUS ENSEMBLE
DANS CE BEAU PAYS QUI S’APPELLE CANADA.

Repea first verse and Chorus

CANADA IN MY POCKET
(Green, Blue & Purple pick any verse. They are to bring their own coins pictures and stand to sing their chose verse)
Note: Only Purple may bring a LOON or a POLAR BEAR as well.
Michael Mitchell

Chorus: I’ve got Canada in my pocket. A little bit of history.
A penny and a nickel and a quarter and a dime
mean a lot to you and me.
It’s more than pocket money. They’re the symbols of our land.
they’re pictures of important things for which this country stands.

The maple leaf, the maple leaf, It’s a beautiful sight to see.
It waves, ‘Hello’ to us below from the top of a maple tree.
and with every year that passes. It grows like you and me.
So, should we all grow straight and tall like the lovely maple tree.

The beaver, oh the beaver, It’s a beautiful sight to see.
He’s a happy, furry animal like a teddy bear with teeth.
He’s never ever lazy. He works all night and day.
Building houses for his family. He’s got no time to play.

The schooner, oh the schooner. It’s a beautiful sight to see.
It’s a great big wooden sailing ship that can sail across the sea.
And it brings to other countries, the things that people need
And it brings back things like chocolate bars and books for us to read.

The caribou the caribou, it’s a beautiful sight to see
He’s a really big strong animal I’m sure you’ll all agree.
He looks like Santa’s reindeer. And he loves it when the wind blows cold.
So he lives up north with the polar bears, cause he likes the ice and snow.

The loon oh the loon, what a beautiful sight to see.
In the Summer we see her at the lake, as she swims so gracefully.
She Winters by the ocean, when the cold winds start to blow.
Her silver back and her haunting call is what we’ve come to know.

The Polar Bear, the Polar Bear, what a beautiful sight to see.
He walks on the frozen tundra, and he swims in the Arctic Sea.
He’s the largest bear in the world, standing over 3 meters high.
If he comes near he’s dangerous, You better run or you might ……
(note leave out last word for audience to guess).

Chorus.

SONG OF JOY

(All sing and hold up peace sign)

Come and sing a song of joy for peace will come to everyone.
Come and sing a song of joy for peace will come to everyone.
When we sing we open our heart and fill up the world with love and joy.
Come and sing a song of joy for peace will come to everyone.
