PURPLE LEVEL NOTES: FALL
For the FALL term we will read and write music in the key of F major, and Dm.
Please plan to spend 15 to 30 minutes each day going through the music workbook and playing the recorder. Homework page numbers are at the back of the book, and here below on this page. Contact me if you ever have any questions.

JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH
We will now start to listen to the music of JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH. In Purple the students go through a new composer every month. They will also have assignments to complete on music history.
For the FALL TERM we will be learning about the instruments of the KEYBOARD and STRING FAMILIES.
PETER ILLYCH TCHAIKOVSKY
Through November and December we will be listening to the music of Peter Tchaikovsky. Please access a copy of the NUTCRACKER SUITE and get to know the music. We will be playing Tchaikovsky in the classroom!
We will continue to learn about different composers. Please make sure to do the assignments.
